Never let the demands of tomorrow interfere with the pleasures and excitement of today. ~ Meredith Willson, (The Music Man)

It’s been awhile, but I finally finished something:

Warm The World Hat #1

What: Warm The World Hat #1
Yarn: Unknown from Warm The World stash
Needles: size 8 dpn’s

Pattern: Seamans’ Cap, kind of*

Date started: 7/27/07

Date finished: 7/29/07

Dimensions: 6.5″ diameter and 6″ high (with cuff folded)

Lesson Learned: None

Destination: Warm The World

* I used this pattern as a guide and used the following modifications:

  • Used size 8 dpn’s
  • Did not change needle size after the ribbing
  • Only cast on 60 stitches
  • Knit 6″ (not 7.5″) before the decreases

Warm The World needs hats! Between now and the end of the year, we have committed 1000 hats. Details are here. We’d love to have you help us reach our goal.

There were more storms last night. Perfect for Saturday Sky:

  1. That’s a very cool hat! I’ve been looking for a pattern like it.

  2. You changed your header at the top….didn’t you? I can’t remember what it was, but I do remember it was something different. I like it!

  3. What a cute hat! I love the colors! The girls look pensive…maybe all the storms?

  4. The colors on that hat are very patriotic. The Colorado skies and the doggies, beautiful as always.
