The arctic temperatures moved out in time for the weekend and we took advantage of it. I had some errands to run and then we ended up at the dog park.
Being cooped up in the car for a couple of hours meant they were ready to run.
Once they burned off all that energy it was time to explore.
The stream has started to freeze.
Both dogs enjoy exploring the ice.
Sadie loves to eat snow.
Luka splashed in the freezing cold water.
Sadie preferred lying in it.
But not for long.
Exploring the woods is always enjoyable.
When Sadie took a break I was able to snap a nice portrait of her.
My portrait of Luka didn’t turn out as well as I’d hoped.
This one is better.
All of the running was exhausting. Here’s how Luka spent the evening.
The kitties continue to (literally) sniff each other out.
And I will soon have a new pair of socks.

Those puppy tongues hanging out are the best! =)
Love the doggy pictures. I can’t believe they don’t care about the cold (water)!! The socks look lovely, very girly because of the color.
Loved finding this new post – so fun to see the gang up to their adventures. You’re a good Mama to your pets and they are lucky to enjoy these outings with you. Hope the cold temps don’t return too soon. Snow and very cold here in Ontario, but we are expecting a break soon too. We don’t have the beautiful mountainous backdrop though, sadly.
The expressions that you capture on your animals is amazing. That lab has the most wonderful eyes. Having a lie down in the frigid water doesn’t surprise me with that pup.
I have a sock blank that I’ve been waiting to dye because of lack of inspiration. I really like the effect on those socks. Lovely.
Luka and Sadie look very happy. I like the tiny cables on your socks.
HAPPY DOGGIES!
(pensive kitties…)
pretty socks!
(((hugs)))
I love the way your dogs love all the seasons. They always look so happy.
Glad the kitties are getting closer…I wish ours would too. Those socks are really nice…that was the first sock pattern I learned with the mock cables.
