Time for toes!

I’ll have these socks finished in time for the Arctic cold front that’s due to arrive this weekend.

Here’s Pikes Peak at sunset:

I’m going to have to move Samantha so I can go to bed:

A pair of socks and lots of canine cuteness.

The socks are coming along:

The dogs, as always, are adorable….

Samantha napping:

Max sleeping on Kish:

I was feeling the Max love last night. First, he fell asleep on my foot:

Later on, he fell asleep with his paw on my leg:

Last, but not least, the oddball dog doing lots of odd things…

Hanging out on the back of the couch:

Not so odd, but really cute:

Sprawling across the dog beds:

Sound asleep, facing the wall:

Wedged under the dog bed:

And her favorite, hiding her face:

A little bit of everything: movies, sky, dogs, cat, knitting…

My two week long TCM movie marathon is over.  I adore old movies and have a habit of Tivo-ing them by the dozen.  I never seem to find the time to watch more than a couple of movies a week, and this led to a huge backlog on the Tivo.  Finally, over the last two weeks I’ve watched every movie that I had recorded over the past couple of months.

The marathon concluded late last night with North By Northwest.   My love for this movie and for Cary Grant knows no bounds.  I won’t bore you by waxing poetic about the exquisite handsomeness of Mr. Grant but they really don’t make movie stars like him any more, do they?

I decided to take a break from the Sunshine Lilac Blanket and start something new:

Here’s Parker, moments before he pounced on my yarn:

The Shepherds hung out together today:

Kishka snoozed at my feet:

And finally, today’s Saturday Sky:

Progress and feasting.

This week’s Friday’s Feast:

Which celebrity (or celebrities) do you think will make headlines this year?
What an inane question. Bleech

They say that good things come in small packages. What is something little that you think is great?
What? Another odd question. And ‘little’ is quite relative. Next!

Name a song that makes you want to dance.

I can’t believe I’m admitting this, but You Spin Me Round. The song is silly, I’ve heard it 1000 times, but it always makes me want to dance.

Main Course
What is your favorite font?
My favorite font? I think the question writers were hitting the bong this week. I tend to use simple fonts. I detest web pages that go all gung ho with fonts. If I had to choose, I’d probably say Lucinda.

If you were to write a do-it-yourself article, what would it be about?
Another wtf question. I have no clue.

Man, Friday’s Feast was a bust this week. Hopefully they gain momentum as the year progresses.

Goose egg on my noggin’.

Earlier tonight, I was having a perfectly wonderful evening. Samantha was snoring in the hallway. Kishka was on the chair, chewing a bone. I was lying on the floor, snuggling Max and listening to a podcast.

Suddenly, my head exploded in pain. I’m not kidding. I saw stars and was disoriented for a couple of seconds.

When I regained my wits, I realized that Kishka had dropped her bone on my face. It hit right on the bone under my eyebrow.

I have had bones dropped on my head before, but there must be something about that eyebrow bone because it hurt like hell. I’m now sporting a goose egg on my eyebrow and a headache.

She’s lucky she’s so cute:

Or, it was. After taking this picture, I realized my stitch count was off, so I ripped back most of the yellow. I love this pattern, so I’ll reknit it quickly.

I love this face:
