Late night blogging.

I usually go to bed when I get tired.  It’s now 4am and I’m not tired at all.  So, I’m blogging.  🙂

The Pastel Rainbow socks are moving right along:

There’s a new project on the needles.  The Grapes of Wrap shawl:

Earlier tonight I had a Cary Grant movie marathon and discovered something.   Cary Grant is even more attractive when he’s knitting:

:: sigh ::

And here I thought the perfect man didn’t exist.  But, Cary Grant, knitting?  Damn.  I knew I was born too late!

Earlier today I looked up and saw a beautiful sight:

My girls are growing closer.   Sam and Kish have always gotten along, but they never really hung out together.    And, on the rare occasions when any of my dogs would snap at each other, it was always them.  I was hoping that they would grow closer after Max’s death and they have.

Speaking of Kishka, I’ve shown many of her couch yoga positions, but have never shown her dining habits.  Yes, dining.  Kishka does not eat like every other dog I’ve ever owned (standing up and downing the food in under five minutes).

Kishka dines:

What you can’t see is that it takes her 20-30 minutes to eat a bowl of food.   She takes dainty little bites and pauses between each bite.  If she could talk, I’m quite sure she’d demand a cloth napkin and fine cutlery.

  1. LOL Your dogs crack my up all the time. She’s a phenomenon! I see a difference in the eating habits between my dogs as well. Biko eats slow, but now where near the time Kishka eats. Sam is done in a couple of minutes. I LOVE your new socks! I like this slip stitch, it brings out colorful yarn so well!

  2. Your new socks are totally fab! I just love the pattern and colorway! I don’t think I’ve seen slip stitch socks before but I really like them. 🙂

    Awwwhhhh! The dogs look so cute in those pics!

    Too cute pet pics – Kishka is quite the high society upper crust type, eh?

  4. The dining doggie, what a riot! My dog eats his food in a specific order. His food has different colors, textures and flavors in it. He always eats the white chewies first, then the green then the spagetti shaped ones etc. It cracks me up, except that he tosses some of it on the floor until he gets to that color. Weird animals.

  5. I had the same problem last night. It got to be about 3 o’clock, and I still had no desire to go to sleep, but I had to because I had to get up at 6 to herd the kids and get them ready to go to school. I’m surprised I’m not dying today… I should be exhausted, considering how little sleep I got.

    BTW… love the name The Grapes of Wrap shawl!

  6. You make me want to try slip stitch too! My own pooch is also very picky about his meals. Sometimes he refuses a meal altogether.
