Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation. ~ Oscar Wilde

I’ve been doing more knitting that I’ve admitted to here.   I knit some dish/washcloths for a friend and now that she’s received them, I can post them here.

I realize the above picture sucks.   Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that until the gift was already mailed.  The below ‘in process’ picture shows the cloth much better.

As usual, details are on my Ravelry page.   (Are there any knitters left not on Ravelry?  If you aren’t and want project details on anything I’ve knit, feel free to ask.)

I’ve also started a kitchen towel for myself:

For the past few months I’ve been trying to find the right purple and green cotton yarn to match my kitchen.   I finally found it in these huge “Camo Cotton” skeins from Sugar ‘n Cream:

That’s 608 yards of cotton.  Holy cow!  I’m going to be knitting kitchen towels for the rest of my life (and I have three skeins of this yarn).

I need to say again how thrilled I am that I found Sadie.  She really is the perfect dog for me.    She is a complete joy (well, except for that little fear of thunderstorms) and it feels like she’s been here forever.   Sadie has lost a total of eight pounds  (Only 27 pounds to go!)   She’s also adorable as hell:

Speaking of adorable dogs, the other canine resident is no slouch in the adorable department:

  1. I’ve been knitting dishcloths alot lately, too. I love the instant gratification; plus of course, small amounts of cotton on my lap are doable in our summer heat.

Sadie looks like the kind of dog you could lie on the floor and use for a pillow. 😉

They are gorgeous girls. You are a blessed mommy. 🙂

Sadie is looking more svelte that is FOR sure! Dogs are gorgeous as ever – give them a little nuzzle for me 😉

  3. Give both dogs big kisses right between the eyes from me. 🙂

And the dishcloths look nice too.

  4. Oooh, don’t forget to include a kitchen picture to see the results when you’re done. I like the apple a lot. How do you manage to diet and exercise Sadie alone without having Kishka lose weight too?

  5. The washclothes look great! Those dogs both seem to be just perfect for you. Give my congratulations to Sadie for an admirable weight loss! And a kiss to Kisha!

  6. I think that is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever seen. Beautiful knitting as well.
