The dogs and I hit the park yesterday. It wasn’t very cold, but there was a heck of a cold wind blowing. I kept my gloves on most of the time to make sure my fingers didn’t freeze. I only snapped a few pictures of the dogs.
Both dogs enjoyed the cold water. Sadie loves to take a big gulp of water and then let it trickle out of her mouth. This is very cute while outdoors (not so cute in the living room).
Luka was playing with a tennis ball and it drifted underneath the ice. He obsessively searched for it.
Sadie watched him for a bit.
Then she grew bored and settled in to wait.

Two of the cats I had growing up were KC and Kit. Both short for Kitty Cat. All of the other names, save 2, were descriptive (Blackie, Brownie, Fluffy, Blackie (the second), and Sandy. Sam and Ferret were the only two that weren’t descriptive and both were named before we got them (Ferret’s previous owner got him (a Himalayan) instead of the ferret they originally wanted to get. We got Ferret when they decided they really should have gotten a ferret instead of a cat. So he probably fall into the same non-creative camp.). My family’s not all that creative.
So by that reasoning, Mr. Orange Noname up there should become…Tabby. 🙂
What great furry friends you have. I love your quote for your post too. I’m an English teacher, and I have my students write their own version of Walt Whitman’s “A Child Went Forth,” which is basically a catalog of all of the little events that become a part of a person.
The pups always make me smile but your nameless kitty made me laugh. 🙂
