Random dog picture!

I’d like to take a moment to thank my co-workers who came to work with a cold last week and spread their germs all around. I saw the germs approaching yesterday and did everything I could to fight them off. However, they ambushed me while I was sleeping and I woke up this morning a complete mess: sneezing, coughing, nose dripping (TMI?), etc. Ugh.

I stayed home today and am currently 2/3 of the way through a jumbo box of Kleenex.

I’m not sure I have more Kleenex in the house and am hoping I don’t have to resort to paper towels. I’ll look like Rudolph in five minutes flat.

The good news is that I’m now feeling well enough to knit. Earlier today, I was just lying on the couch, watching TV and moaning (and not in a good way).

While browsing the Internet, I found this story. The whole story is disturbing, but the worst part is this:

“One of her students saw nude art in the museum, and after the child’s parent complained, the teacher was suspended.”

A veteran teacher lost her job because one parent complained about nudity? It’s not porn, it’s art that happens to depict nude people. Huge difference.

No wonder this country is so messed up.

I would love to pontificate more, but I must attend to my nose.
