Knitting and feasting and pictures!

This really is the cold from hell. I only worked 5 hours today which makes just 8 hours of work so far for this week. The rest of the week has been spent on the couch.

I think I’m slowly starting to improve. The nose isn’t as stuffy, but the cough is hanging tough and making it nearly impossible to sleep. The worst part is the fatigue. I am just flat out exhausted. I’m going to lie low through the weekend and hopefully bounce back next week. I hope so. I haven’t been this sick in years. My condolences to anyone else who got hit by this killer cold.

My poor dogs have been so neglected this week: no walks, no playing, etc. I feel like a horrible dog mommy, but I’ll make it up to them.

I’ve been knitting in the Mystery Project and also on Log Cabin #2:

I switched the Log Cabin Blanket from the Denise Needles to the Knit Picks Needles. Wow. It is so much easier to knit this on the KP needles. The blanket doesn’t get caught up on the cable and picking up stitches is ridiculously easy. I’ve been knitting with the Denise Needles and the Needlemaster and the Knit Picks needles are superior to both of them.

It’s time again for Friday’s Feast:

Appetizer
Name a song you know by heart.
She Let Herself Go by George Strait. I may or may not have been caught by fellow drivers belting this out at the top of my lungs at a red light.

Soup
What will you absolutely not do in front of another person?
Take a crap. But I will do it in front of dogs. I don’t have a choice. They like to line up and watch.

Salad
How often do you use mouthwash and what kind do you like?
Um, not very often. Call me a freak, but I have bad memories associated with mouthwash, so never buy it.

Main Course
Finish this sentence: I am embarrassed when…
Why on earth would I answer this and embarrass myself on my own blog?

Dessert
What was the last food you craved?
Tamales.

It was another gorgeous fall day here in Colorado. I took some pictures on the way home:
